中国石化新闻网讯 据1月7日Offshore Energy报道，地震数据采集服务提供商Shearwater GeoServices获得了冈比亚的一个3D Isometrix地震采集项目。

该公司周二表示，为期一个月的调查将覆盖冈比亚A5海上区块的部分区域，包括多产的毛里塔尼亚、塞内加尔、冈比亚、几内亚比绍、科纳克里(MSGBC)盆地。

2017年，FAR获得了两个区块(A2和A5) 80%的股权和运营权，这两个区块位于冈比亚近海，与塞内加尔区块和Sangmoar油田相邻。

FAR taps Shearwater for Gambian seismic survey

Seismic services provider Shearwater GeoServices has been awarded a 3D Isometrix seismic acquisition project by FAR in Gambia.

Shearwater said on Tuesday that the one-month survey would cover parts of block A5 offshore Gambia in the rapidly emerging and prolific Mauritania, Senegal, Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Conakry (MSGBC) Basin.

In 2017, FAR acquired an 80% working interest and operatorship in two Blocks – A2 and A5 – offshore The Gambia, located on trend with and adjacent to Senegal blocks encompassing the Sangmoar field.

Blocks A2 and A5 have been independently assessed to contain prospective resources on a best estimate basis of more than one billion barrels of oil. The Gambian prospectivity is in a continuation of the ‘shelf edge’ play that houses the giant Sangomar field offshore Senegal.

“We are excited to be working offshore the Gambia for FAR and for the first time provide high quality Isometrix multi-sensor data for this area,” said Irene Waage Basili, the CEO of Shearwater GeoServices.

“This will be our second project in the MSGBC Basin this year after working at the world-class Sangomar field directly to the north.”
