10:03 PM EST, 02/20/2023 (MT Newswires) -- Southern Steel (KLSE:SSTEEL) logged a loss attributable to owners of the company of 60.7 million ringgit in the fiscal second quarter ended December 2022, against an attributable profit of 34.2 million ringgit a year ago.
Loss per share came in at 0.1018 ringgit per share, versus earnings per share of 0.0574 ringgit in the year-ago quarter, according to a Monday bourse filing.
Revenue in the three months shrank to 578.6 million ringgit from 651.6 million ringgit a year earlier.
The Malaysian steel group did not declare any dividends for the period.
