12:23 AM EST, 01/13/2023 (MT Newswires) -- China CITIC Bank (SHA:601998, HKG:0998) reported a 12% jump in profit in 2022, partly driven by increased revenue, according to the company's preliminary results released Thursday.
The Chinese lender's net profit rose to 62.1 billion yuan from 55.64 billion yuan, with earnings per share also climbing to 1.17 yuan from 1.08 yuan.
The unit of Chinese conglomerate CITIC (HKG:0267) said its revenue inched up 3.38% to 105.66 billion yuan from 102.2 billion yuan.
The bank ended 2022 with 8.55 trillion yuan in assets, up 6.29% from 8.04 trillion yuan in 2021.
