    中国石化新闻网讯 据TABNI网站2020年9月13日欧文报道，埃克森美孚公司日前在位于圭亚那海上斯塔布鲁克区块内的Redtail-1井中获得了第18个重要石油发现，在此之前埃克森美孚公司已宣在布斯塔布鲁克区块获得的估计可采油气储量超过80亿桶油当量。

    埃克森美孚公司负责勘探和新项目的高级副总裁Mike Cousins说：“我们的斯塔布鲁克区块勘探计划将继续在靠近之前发现的高质量油气藏附近进行油气勘探活动，为圭亚那的新项目创造有效的机会。”

    Cousins说：“开发这些项目仍是埃克森美孚公司和我们的合资企业长期增长计划不可分割的一部分，也是圭亚那未来重要价值的来源。”

    据悉，Redtail-1井在钻进过程中钻遇了大约70米厚的高质量含油砂岩，发现井完钻时的水深在1878米。

    发现井位于Yellowtail发现西北大约2.5公里处海域。

    ExxonMobil announces discovery offshore Guyana

    ExxonMobil has made its 18th discovery offshore Guyana at the Redtail-1 well, adding to the previously announced estimated recoverable resource of more than 8 billion oil-equivalent barrels on the Stabroek Block.

    “Our Stabroek Block exploration program continues to identify high-quality reservoirs in close proximity to previous discoveries, establishing efficient opportunities for new projects in Guyana,” said Mike Cousins, Senior Vice-President of exploration and new ventures at ExxonMobil.

    “Developing these projects remains an integral part of ExxonMobil and our co-venturers’ long-term growth plans and a source of significant value for Guyana.”

    Redtail-1 encountered approximately 70 m of high-quality oil bearing sandstone and was drilled in 1,878 m of water. The well is located approximately 2.5 km northwest of the Yellowtail discovery.
