Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick recently interviewed at the 52nd Annual Technology, Media & Telecommunications Conference at TD Cowen was asked about the highly anticipated PC version of "GTA 6" and the distant future - "GTA 7".
Zelnick agreed with the estimate that "GTA 5" has generated over $10 billion in revenue since its release (approximately RMB726 billion), noting that it is not far from reality. The conversation then turned to "GTA 6", and the interviewer asked if you believe that "GTA 6" could further increase revenue and influence like "GTA5". Strauss expressed his confidence in Rockstar Games' potential: "When they released a trailer for GTA5 online, it caused the internet almost crashed on YouTube as it attracted more than 93 million views within just one day." He emphasized that such an achievement was merely from an announcement trailer.
Regarding the PC version of GTA6,Strauss didn't provide any concrete information but said:“Announcements have not been made for PC platforms as well, and there are still opportunities out there for them.”Rockstar's strategy involves announcing their plans at appropriate times. “We always want to be where our players are,and this has been true throughout our company’s history." he added.
Lastly,in discussing the distant future,he humorously mentioned "GTA7:"While we haven't announced anything yet regarding 'GTA6', when it comes to looking ahead.."主持人 jokingly interrupted him by saying,"GTA7?" Strauss smiled and replied,“I can imagine some possibilities."
