　　Position & Function

　　The China Green Foundation is an important organization and leads in raising private reforestation funds used for the development of forestry. It also acts as a bridge in encouraging the whole society to participate in the ecological building and environmental protection of forestry. At the same time, it acts as a tie for friendly cooperation in international private reforestation efforts. In 2003, it obtained the Special Status of ECOSOC. It enjoys the State Administration's preferential policy of allowing donors to take deductions from their income taxes.

　　Tenet &Task

　　To Advance land reforestation; to maintain ecological balance; to promote harmonious balance between human beings and nature; to raise, administrate and use reforestation funds to comply with the Donation Law; to meet the wishes and reasonable requests of donors; to encourage the whole society to participate in ecological protection and construction of forests; and to strengthen international communication and cooperation.

　　Fund Raising & Use

　　The main sources of funds are: 1. Donations from domestic and foreign persons, legal entities, or other organizations; 2. Government grants; 3. Fund appreciations allowed by laws and policies; 4. Other legal funds sources.

　　The main methods for fund raising are: 1. Organization of theme activities to solicit subscriptions, 2. Raising public funds and international cooperative aid, and applying for government grants etc.
