近日，麦当劳发布的2022年全年业绩报告显示，公司实现收入约231.8亿美元，同比增长6%。作为评估餐厅业绩情况的一项重要指标，麦当劳在全球的同店销售额也表现不俗。去年，该公司全球同店销售额增长12.6%。

麦当劳执行副总裁兼首席财务官伊恩·博登（Ian Borden）在电话会上指出，战略性地提高菜单定价、营销活动带动客流量的增加，以及全球细分市场强劲的经营业绩，拉动了同店销售额增长。

2023年，尽管各行业都会面临宏观环境不小的挑战，麦当劳仍对公司发展充满信心。博登表示，公司计划今年支出22亿至24亿美元，其中一半用于开新店。他透露，公司将在全球开拓新门店1900家，其中约900家设在中国。

国际餐饮巨头依然看好中国市场，是对这一市场消费潜力的认可。数据显示，今年春节假期，我国餐饮堂食消费同比增长15.4%，店均消费增长10.8%。中国餐饮消费市场今年的“开门红”和当前快速复苏势头，进一步印证了包括麦当劳在内，对中国市场“保持乐观并相信2023年有好的改善”的判断。

Robots Could Surpass Workers at Amazon by 2030, Cathie Wood Says

方舟投资公司创始人凯西·伍德日前表示，工作场所自动化的发展将在这十年中加速，在世界上最大的公司之一，机器人工人可能超过人类员工。

The growth of automation in the workplace will accelerate this decade, with robot workers possibly surpassing human employees at one of the world’s biggest companies, according to Ark Invest’s Cathie Wood.

伍德称，亚马逊使用自动化机器人将在未来几年极大地改变公司的员工队伍。

Amazon’s use of automated robots will dramatically change the company’s workforce in the coming years, Wood said.

“亚马逊每天增加约1000个机器人……如果你将亚马逊的机器人数量与员工数量进行比较，大约是三分之一。我们相信，到2030年，亚马逊的机器人数量将超过员工数量。”伍德说。

“Amazon is adding about a thousand robots a day……If you compare the number of robots Amazon has to the number of employees, it’s about a third. And we believe that by the year 2030 Amazon can have more robots than employees,” Wood said.

伍德还表示，机器人革命将不仅局限于亚马逊，技术进步和成本下降将使公司转型加速，这种转变将蔓延到整个制造业。

The robot revolution will not be limited to Amazon; it will spread across manufacturing, Wood said, as improving technology and falling costs speed up the transition.

Google CEO Promises New AI Features Are Coming to Search “Very Soon”

谷歌首席执行官桑达尔·皮查伊2月2日表示，公司很快将在其搜索引擎中添加高级人工智能功能。

Google CEO Sundar Pichai said on Feb 2 that the company will soon add advanced AI features to its search engine.

皮查伊表示:“很快，人们便能直接与作为搜索伴侣的最新、最强大的语言模型互动。”该模型指谷歌的对话技术LaMDA，即对话应用语言模型。

“Very soon, people will be able to interact directly with our newest, most powerful language model as a companion to Search, in experimental and innovative ways,” he said, referring to Google’s conversation technology LaMDA, or Language Model for Dialogue Applications.

皮查伊表示，公司将在“未来几周或几个月内”发布该语言模型，以便获得更多反馈。

Pichai said that it will release the large language model “in the coming weeks and months” so the company can get more feedback.

据CNBC本周二的报道，谷歌正在员工中测试其中的功能，作为“红色代码”计划的一部分，以应对热门聊天机器人ChatGPT对其搜索引擎业务构成的威胁。

On Tuesday, CNBC reported that Google is testing some of these features with employees as part of a “code red” plan to combat the threat posed to its search engine business by the popular ChatGPT.
