WIT SOLBERG
Senior Director
Wit Solberg is a senior director at Fitch Ratings. He heads a team in Hong Kong which evaluates Asia Pacific real estate investment trust ratings and traditional asset backed structured finance transactions. He joined Fitch in 2000 as part of the commercial mortgage group in New York where in addition to evaluating traditional mortgage securitization transactions, he developed a variety of credit rating methodologies including: B Note CMBS CDO, wireless towers, and the securitization of mezzanine real estate debt. Wit developed Fitch Tokyo's multi-borrower CMBS criteria during an extended assignment in Japan.
Wit was previously regional director, real estate lending for PNC Capital Markets (USA) CMBS group where he originated and securitized commercial mortgages from all asset types.
Wit earned a BA in economics from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri and an MBA from Columbia Business School in New York.
