嘉宾:百胜餐饮集团中国事业部总裁苏敬轼

苏敬轼先生于1989年5月加入百胜餐饮的前身 —— 百事集团餐饮事业部,负责北太平洋地区的肯德基企划工作;同年12月兼管了当时仅有四家店的中国业务;往后随着中国业务的发展和集团本身的组织变动,而经历多次职称、职务的变动。自1995年起,苏先生开始兼管包括必胜客在内的所有百胜餐饮的中国业务。自2005年1月起,百胜成立新的中国事业部,向全球总部直接报告,由苏先生担当总裁职务。中国事业部负责百胜在中国大陆和泰国的所有业务,以及在台湾的肯德基业务。
苏敬轼先生在加入肯德基之前,曾效力于宝洁(P&G)公司德国和台湾分公司。
苏敬轼先生早年毕业于台湾大学;后赴美国宾州州立大学就读,获化工硕士学位;之后又在沃顿商学院获工商管理硕士学位。
百胜餐饮集团中国事业部隶属于全球餐厅网络最大的百胜全球餐饮集团 (Yum!Brands Inc.),其在全球100多个国家拥有超过34,000 家连锁餐厅和近百万名员工。其旗下包括肯德基、必胜客、塔可钟(Taco Bell)、A&W及 Long John Silver's (LJS)五个世界著名餐饮品牌, 分别在全球烹鸡、比萨、墨西哥风味食品以及海鲜连锁餐饮领域名列全球第一。截止2007年6月,中国百胜已成功地在中国大陆开出了超过1800家肯德基餐厅,260多家必胜客,41家必胜宅急送和8家东方既白餐厅,员工人数超过14万名。公司多年来一直被商务部评为中国餐饮百强企业第一名。2006年中国百胜的营业额为169亿人民币,是百胜全球餐饮集团中增长最迅速的部分。
J. Samuel Su
J. Samuel (Sam) Su is the President of the China Division for Yum! Brands, Inc.
Mr. Su joined KFC in May 1989 as its Regional Marketing Director for North Pacific and doubled up as Acting General Manager for China in December 1989, when China KFC had only four units.
As the China business continues to grow in the 90s, Mr. Su gradually gave up his marketing role and shifted his focus to managing the China business. In 1994, Mr. Su also assumed responsibility for Pizza Hut when it was combined with the KFC business by then parent company, PepsiCo. In October 1997, PepsiCo spun off its restaurant business, including KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell brands, to give birth to Tricon Global Restaurants, whose name was later changed to Yum! Brands, Inc. in 2002 when it acquired two additional brands – A&W and Long John Silver. Yum! Brands, Inc. is listed on NYSE (YUM).
Reporting into the China Division are the YUM businesses in Mainland China, Thailand and in addition the KFC business in Taiwan, all major equity markets of YUM!
Mr. Su was born in Taiwan and graduated from National Taiwan University with a Chemical Engineering degree. He also received a Master of Science (Chemical Engineering) degree from Pennsylvania State University and an MBA degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Before joining KFC, Mr. Su worked for, among other companies, Proctor & Gamble in Germany and Taiwan.
