美两大金融巨头合并

　　Bank of New York and Mellon Financial yesterday unveiled a merger to create a $43bn security services and asset management giant that could trigger further consolidation in the global custody industry.

　　Tom Renyi， BONY's chief executive， said: “Clearly we have first mover advantage. Other management teams will be coming together today and saying ‘what is our response？'”

　　The merger creates the world's biggest asset servicing business， with $16，600bn of assets under custody， overtaking JPMorgan Chase with $12，900bn.
