It is intended that part of thecreditproceeds will be applied to eligible payments under thecontractfor supply of building components.The Ministry of Educationnowinvites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the manufactureandsupply of glass fiber reinforced cornices for schoolconstructionsusing the Light Gauge Steel Framing technology.Biddingwill beconducted through the international competitive biddingproceduresspecified in the World Bank抯 Guidelines: Procurementunder IBRDLoans and IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders fromeligiblesource countries as defined in the guidelines.Interestedeligiblebidders may obtain further information from and inspect thebiddingdocuments at the office of the School Planning &BuildingDivision, Ministry of Education, Thimphu. A complete set ofbiddingdocuments in English may be purchased by interested bidderson thesubmission of a written application to the address below anduponpayment of a non-refundable fee of Nu. 3,000. The method ofpaymentwill be in the form of demand draft or cash warrant. Thedocumentwill be sent by air mail.Bids must be delivered to theaddressbelow on or before 1400 hours on 14 June 2005, and mustbeaccompanied by a security amount of Nu. 100,000 or anequivalentamount in a freely convertible currency. They will beopened at1430 hours, in the presence of bidders who choose toattend, at thesame address.
