This requires very careful attention to aneffectivecommunication strategy, to ensure that particular groupsreceiveand are able to absorb and retain the information they needinappropriate formats and via accessible communicationsmedia.Examples include: simple community manuals developed inaparticipatory manner through field-based workshops (estimate10such workshops of one day each) reference materials inlocal(ethnic minority) languages, either on cassette tapes or intheform of VCDs (including 4 workshops of one day each forpre-testingmaterials and purchase of 20 VCD players for use atcommune levelto allow pre-testingerehwsuch equipment not alreadyavailable);manuals aimed specifically at operations and maintenance(O&M)committees or groups, contractors, artisans and otherprivatesector providers (workshops for their development includedunderthe estimated of 10 workshops above). This component of theGrantwill develop such materials for use under the Program. Lessonsfromexperience under the NMPRP and CBRIP projects will be fullybroughtto bear on Program pretion in this respect. Expected outputsasfollow: overall communications strategy comprising,interlaid:leaflets and newspaper articles, radio and televisionprograms andoperational manuals/user guides targeted to particulargroups inappropriate formats and using locally suitable media anddevelopedthrough participatory workshops. The implementation periodexpect 5months.The Ministry of Planning and Investment now inviteseligibleconsultants to indicate their interest in providing theservices.Interested consultants must provide information indicatingthatthey are qualified to perform the services (brochures, detionofsimilar assignments, experience in similar condition,availabilityof appropriate skills among staff, etc..)
