The initiative is aimed at strengthening thelocalcapacity for improved support services to students,particularly inthe context of Universal Secondary Education.tiveThetive of theconsultancy is to provide a programme of training toabout twenty(20) trainees (all holders of first degrees) that leadsto amasters degree in counseling.Scope of WorkThe Consultantisrequired to deliver, assess and certify a programme of about2years duration to trainees who will be based in St. Lucia.Thetraining must be commenced by January 2006.The Government ofSt.Lucia, herein represented by the Ministry of Education,HumanResource Development, Youth and Sports, now inviteseligibleConsultants to indicate their interest in providing theservices.Interested Consultants must provide information indicatingthatthey are qualified to perform the services. This shouldincludereferences to similar training, experience in the region andtheavailability of appropriate skills among staff etc. Consultantsmayassociate with local and or regional experts to enhancetheirqualifications.A shortlist of Consultants will be establishedinaccordance with the World Bank Guidelines: Selection andEmploymentof Consultants by World Bank Borrowers.Eligibility ofbidders:Previous similar training experience, experience in theCaribbeanRegion, and availability of staff with appropriate skillsandknowledgeThere is no specific format for the Expression ofInterest(EOI).
