澳大利亚Perilya第三季度锌产量较上季减少18%

　　文华财经（综合编译 刘娜）--据堪培拉10月23日消息，澳大利亚矿产商Perilya公司周二发布报告称，旗下Broken Hill矿第三季度锌产量较上季下滑18%至30,200吨，受锌矿石品味降低影响。

　　同期铅产量减少1.4%至20,600吨。

　　报告称第三季度加工过的矿石总计增长6.0%至557,600吨，

　　第三季度白银产量上升7.4%至578,000盎司。

　　Perilya公司已经批准开发Broken Hill附近的Potosi矿，因“基本面极具竞争力”，预期第一批矿石将在2007年第三季度交货。

　　因此Broken Hill的锌产量第一年将增加10,000吨左右，随后每年增长35,000吨。

　　Looking ahead, Perilya reported that despite selling forward some production, it remains exposed to the spot metal price for more than 90% of its zinc reserves.

　　"Perilya is very well positioned to capitalize on the current strong metal prices underpinned by favorable supply and demand fundamentals," it said.

　　London Metal Exchange zinc stocks are at their lowest in more than a decade and are down by 80% since June 2005, and at Oct. 23 inventories of 119,000 tons were just four days of global consumption, it said.

　　"The zinc inventory levels are fast approaching critical level, which at an equivalent level, saw a dramatic increase in nickel prices," it said.

　　Perilya reported its operations generated A$42.6 million in the third quarter pushing cash on hand to A$168.9 million by Sept. 30.
