信息科技及科技业企业家奖得主邓中翰

　　安永会计师事务所2月2日宣布“安永企业家奖”- 中国2006十一位得主。这是安永首次在中国举办这项享誉全球的商业奖项。这项评选活动旨在表彰成功的企业家，见证其卓越的企业家精神，并褒扬其在创造就业、提高中国企业的竞争力以及带动国家经济发展等方面做出的贡献。

　　邓中翰博士毕业于加州大学伯克莱分校，他以5年时间获得3个学位的佳绩，打破了该校130年来的历史。毕业后，邓博士于80年代中期加入万国商业机器(IBM)，担任高级研究员。1998年，他离开IBM后，与其它合作伙伴在硅谷创立了专门从事数字成像业务的Pixim公司。1999年，邓博士出售其在Pixim公司的股权之后，回国创建了中星微电子。他深信，中国的消费类电子产品和通信市场将会为数字成像技术和数字信号处理器业务提供极大的发展机会。经过短短六年的经营，中星微电子于2005年在美国纳斯达克交易市场成功上市，成为第一家在该市场上市的中国芯片设计企业。目前，中星微电子在多媒体信号处理芯片领域上是全球领先的企业。运往世界各地的计算机摄像系统中，有超过60%的计算机摄像系统使用中星微电子生产的芯片。

　　After graduating with three degrees within five years, which is a record in the 130 years of history in UC Berkeley, Dr Deng joined IBM as a senior researcher in the mid-80s. As soon as he left IBM, he co-founded Pixim in 1998 in Silicon Valley, a company specialized in digital imaging. Dr Deng sold his interests in Pixim in 1999 and returned to China to establish Vimicro, as he believed that there are many opportunities for the digital imaging technology and DSP chips in consumer electronics and communication markets in China. After only six years of operations, the company became the first Chinese fabless chip company to be listed on NASDAQ in 2005. Vimicro is currently the global leader in multimedia signal processing chips. Its chips power over 60% of PC cameras shipped worldwide.
