　　博鳌亚洲论坛的新老朋友们：

　　大家新年好！2021年，博鳌亚洲论坛将迎来成立20周年。二十年风雨同舟，携手同行。在发起国政府、理事会与咨委会、会员、合作伙伴以及亚洲内外各界的广泛支持下，博鳌亚洲论坛锐意进取，乘风破浪，成为联结亚洲与世界的重要对话平台和全球公共品。在此共同欢庆的时刻，我想和大家说一句：

　　Boao Forum for Asia， Congratulations！

　　二十年，博鳌亚洲论坛立足亚洲，面向世界，以“博鳌方案”和“博鳌声音”促进亚洲融合与世界发展。中国国家主席习近平等亚洲领导人在论坛上提出的“通过迈向亚洲命运共同体，推动建设人类命运共同体”“中国开放的大门不会关闭，只会越开越大”等重要主张与政策宣讲掷地有声，持久回响。

　　二十年，论坛与亚洲共同成长。走过亚洲金融危机，亚洲各国的步伐更加稳健，发展更加坚实，开放更加沉着。亚洲在全球经济、贸易和投资中的占比大幅提升，成为世界经济增长的重要引擎。2020年11月，亚太15国正式签署《区域全面经济伙伴关系协定》，凸显亚洲坚持多边主义，推动经济全球化的重要决心。

　　二十年，论坛与世界深度对话。顺应亚洲和新兴经济体国际地位迅速上升的大趋势，论坛代表新兴经济体提出政策主张，成为亚洲与世界在新兴经济体发展和全球治理等重大议题上的对话平台。

　　2020年，世纪疫情与百年变局交叠，人类面临前所未有的重大挑战。在后疫情时代，论坛肩负着促进对话，巩固互信，推动亚洲与世界重返创新、绿色、包容、可持续复苏轨道，重塑国际经贸规则与完善全球治理的重要使命。博鳌亚洲论坛将进一步扩大朋友圈，凝聚正能量，为构建人类命运共同体不懈努力。

　　论坛东道国——中国，正站在两个百年奋斗目标的历史交汇点上，将坚定依靠科技创新，全面深化改革和高水平对外开放，推进高质量发展，构建新发展格局，为亚洲和全球经济恢复与发展做出积极贡献。东道国政府将持续全方位支持论坛工作，为论坛提供更广阔的发展空间。

　　再过两天，就是中国农历牛年大年初一。尽管疫情下中国很多家庭只能通过线上云团聚，但是，中国人民坚信，只要世界各国团结一心，携手抗疫，疫情的寒冬终将过去，美好的春天正向我们走来。值此新春佳节之际，我给大家拜年，希望把祝福送给论坛大家庭所有成员，祝大家牛年幸福安康，吉祥如意！

　　Dear Friends of the Boao Forum for Asia，

　　Happy New Year！ In 2021， the Boao Forum for Asia（BFA） will be celebrating its 20th anniversary． For two decades， the BFA has been joining hands with and receiving support of the Initial Countries， the Board of Director and Council of Advisors， members and partners， and friends both within and outside Asia． The BFA has been breaking new grounds and overcoming challenges， becomging a major platform connecting Asia and the world and a global public good． At this festive moment， I invite you to join me in speaking loudly： Boao Forum for Asia， Congratulations！”

　　For the BFA， it was 20 years of working， based in Asia and with a global outlook， to promote Asia integration and global development through the “ Boao solution”and the “ Boao voice．” Proposals and policies put forward through the forum by the Chinese President Xi Jinping and other Asian leaders “We should， through efforts towards such a community for Asia， promote a community of a shared future for all mankind” and “China’s door of opening -up will not to be closed， and will only open even wider” resonate strongly in Asia and around the world．

　　It was 20 years of growing with Asia． Emerging strongly from the 1997 financial crisis， Asia countries have become more robust， with steadier development and firmer opening up． With it， the continent is representing an increasing share of the global economy， trade， and investment， and becoming a growth engine for the world． The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership， signed by 15 Asia-Pacific countries in November 2020， is the latest example of Asia’s unwavering commitment to multilateralism and globalization．

　　It was 20 years of engaging with the world． In line with the rapidly rising prominence of emerging Asia economics on the world stage， the BFA has been representing their interest in policy recommendations and serving as a major forum between Asia and the world on major issues including the future of emerging economies and global governance．

　　In 2020， the mankind faced unprecedented challenges from the pandemic and upheavals unseen in a century． In the post-pandemic era， The BFA shoulders the mission to promote dialogue and trust： restore Asia and the world to the trajectory of innovation and a green， inclusive， and sustainable recovery； re-affirm the global economic and trade order； and improve global governance． The BFA endeavors to forge partnerships， gather positive energy， and make unremitting efforts to help bulid that global community of a shared future．

　　China， the host country of the BFA， is standing at the historical point when the timeframes of the two centennial goals converge． China will call on technological innovation， more extensive reforms， and “high-level” opening up to promote high quality growth to promote high quality growth， foster a new development paradigm， and contribute to the recovery and development of Asia and the world． To this end， the host government will continue to fully support BFA’s work and provide broader space for BFA’s development．

　　In the two days’ time， we will welcome the first day of the Chinese Lunar Year of the Ox． Although this year many Chinese families will have to hold their family reunions online， they are convinced that as long as all countries are united against the panemic， the cold winter will eventually pass， the beautiful spring is on the way to us． On the special occasion of the Lunar New Year， I am sending my warmest greetings to all the friends of Forum， I wish everyone happinese， health， luck， and prosperity in the Year of the Ox！
