北京大学世界伦理中心简介

　　北京大学[微博]世界伦理中心(简称伦理中心， World Ethics Institute Beijing, WEIB)，2012年10 月29 日正式成立，是北京大学集研究与出版、教学与交流、实践与推广于一体的校级综合研究中心，也是中国第一家围绕世界伦理尤其是经济伦理展开研究的专业研究机构

　　伦理中心是北京大学与图宾根大学等学术团体和合作的结晶，由德国KSG 基金会习理德主席与中国三一集团梁稳根董事长共同捐赠启动及研究资金。国际著名学者杜维明教授担任伦理中心创办主任。

　　伦理中心希望扎根于中华传统文化，汲取各轴心文明、非轴心文明、及各原住民的伦理智慧，通过文明对话的多种途径，建立一个研究与教学，国内与国际相辅相成，具有创造活力的研究团队，为世界伦理的研究注入中国文明的古老精神智慧，及现代中国的文化元素，让世界伦理，特别是全球经济伦理，更加多元开放，更具有全球意义。

　　伦理中心聘请经济伦理领域的顶尖学者，包括Craig Calhoun, Gholamareza Aavani, Richard Cooper, Hans Küng, Thomas Scanlon, Michael Spence, 林毅夫，樊和平，万俊人，徐飞，杨慧林，张维迎等，组成咨询委员、学术委员会来制定研究方向、开拓研究论域。伦理中心采用项目制来开展研究，聘请姚新中，黄勇等伦理学教授，开展商业伦理、政治伦理、法律伦理、媒体伦理、生命伦理、生态伦理和儒家伦理、启蒙反思、宗教对话等研究项目。

　　伦理中心还进行教学与交流、实践与推广等工作，计划与图宾根大学等世界名校形成教授流动站、学生交流计划，设立北京大学世界伦理系列讲座，创立“世界伦理论坛”，在企业、政府、媒体等进行调研与传播活动等。

　　The WorldEthics Institute in Beijing (WEIB)， established on October 29, 2012, is apostgraduate center for research, teaching, learning, publishing, and publicservice. It is the first research institution in China focusing on globalethics, and in particular global economic ethics。

　　WEIBoriginated from the close collaboration between Peking University and theUniversity of Tübingen in Germany. Karl Schlecht, Chairman of the Board of theKSG (Karl Schlecht Gemeinnützige Stiftung) Foundation, and Liang Wengen,Chairman of the Sany Heavy Industry, generously provided the initial funding.The institute is under the direction of the world-renowned scholar Tu Weiming。

　　WEIB aims toremain rooted in traditional Chinese culture while learning from the ethicalwisdom of various Axial and non-Axial civilizations and indigenous cultures.Through means such as civilizational dialogue, WEIB aims to build a creativeresearch team that combines teaching and learning, domestic and internationalresources. Finally, the institute aspires to bring the ancient spiritual wisdomof Chinese civilization, as well as contemporary Chinese culture, to theresearch of global ethics, so as to make the latter more diversified andglobally significant。

　　The WEIBAdvisory and Academic Committees, which decide on the institute’s researchdirections and develop new discourses, consist of the world’s leading scholarsin economic ethics, including Craig Calhoun, Gholamreza Aavani, Richard Cooper,Hans Küng, Thomas Scanlon, Michael Spence, Lin Yifu, Fan Heping, Wan Junren, XuFei, Yang Huilin, and Zhang Weiying. The research conducted at WEIB isprimarily project-based. Led by Professor Yao Xinzhong, Huang Yong, etc., theprojects span from economic, political, judicial, media, and ecological ethicsto Confucian ethics, reflections on the Enlightenment, and inter-religiousdialogue。

　　WEIB alsohosts various educational and service programs, including the Professor inResidence Program (partnered with the University of Tübingen)， the StudentExchange Program, the World Ethics Lectures at PKU, the World Ethics Forum, andprograms of study that focus on  media, government, and business。

　　中心扎根中国文化传统，参照各文明精神经典，致力于反思现代西方启蒙心态下经济人假设的兴起、历史起源、当代关联以及未来涵义，提出重塑21世纪人类面临金融危机和国际秩序瓦解等处境的关键议题，探索在未来全球社群中影响经济与商业活动的政治、社会和文化因素，促使政府、媒体、学术界、职业界和非政府组织中的公共知识分子更加全面、综合且均衡地理解全球处境，同时亦冀望有助于增进文化中国、儒家东亚、亚太地区乃至全球范围内的公共理性。

　　World Ethics Institute at Peking University (WEIB)， affiliated with thethe Institute for Advanced Humanistic Studies, is a research, teaching, andpublic service institute of higher learning. WEIB is committed to critiquingthe homo economicus model that emerged from the modern WesternEnlightenment and studying its historical origin, contemporary relevance, andfuture implications. The institute engages with the critical issues shaping the21st century human experience, including the financialcrisis and the disintegration of the international order, explores thepolitical, social, and cultural factors effecting the economy and business ofthe future global community, and seeks to promote a comprehensive, integrated,and balanced understanding of the global situation among public intellectualsworking in the government, mass media, academia, industry, and NGOs in China.Lastly, it works to enhance public rationality in Cultural China,Confucian East Asian, the Asia-Pacific Region, and the world。
