He is responsible for managing and growing CNBC’s assets in Asia Pacific, and for spearheading CNBC’s regional integration within the global business, to help drive growth and reinforce CNBC’s position as the world’s leading business news network. His role includes collaborating across divisions to effectively utilize the worldwide resources of NBC Universal, and parent company GE. Most recently, Pink was Vice President, International News and Programming based in the US, where he worked across each international network – CNBC in the US, Europe, Asia Pacific and CNBC World in the US - to identify global programming and content opportunities. One of the programs that he spearheaded is the Worldwide Exchange, the global business news program, simultaneously broadcast out of the US, Europe and Asia. Prior to that he was with CNBC in Europe, where he was Vice President of News and Programming, directing the network's daily content and coverage with oversight of the network's long-range programming as well. His work contributed to making CNBC in Europe the fastest growing pan-European TV channel. He was named Chief Editor of the magazine in 1997 and then led the magazine to become one of the leading providers of political and economic news. In 2004, he helped to start China Business News, where he has served as Chief Editor since then.
