博鳌亚洲论坛2004年年会将于4月24日-25日举行

　　新浪财经讯博鳌亚洲论坛2004年年会将于4月24日-25日在海南博鳌举行，本次年会的主题为“亚洲寻求共赢——一个向世界开放的亚洲”。

　　博鳌亚洲论坛秘书长龙永图介绍说，在去年的年会上，各国政要、专家和学者都不约而同谈及亚洲实现共赢的迫切性，并对这一目标充满信心。温家宝总理在2003年年会上演讲中指出“加强合作，促进发展，实现共赢，是亚洲崛起和振兴的必由之路，也是亚洲人民 的根本利益所在”。鉴于这一共识，博鳌亚洲论坛2004年年会将继续在“亚洲寻求共赢”的主题下讨论亚洲各国关注的问题。

　　在谈到2004年年会主题的特色时，龙永图表示，去年的年会在“共赢”的题目下，与会代表就亚洲国家之间通过加强相互理解和合作，推进共同发展进行了集中讨论；同时，与会各界人士也坦言：亚洲的振兴与发展离不开世界，世界的发展和进步也离不开亚洲。因此，论坛2004年年会的主题也将更侧重亚洲同世界其他地区的交流、合作与共同发展，进一步突出体现论坛立足亚洲、包容开放的特点。

　　会议将就全球化背景下的区域经济合作、区域经济一体化进程和亚洲的道路、亚洲经济和社会的可持续发展等问题进行讨论。为期两天的年会除举行全体大会外，还将举行若干分会，分别讨论坎昆后的多边贸易体制和亚洲经济一体化进程、亚洲IT产业、企业品牌与亚洲制造，亚洲金融合作以及亚洲能源合作等问题。会议期间，还将以午餐会、圆桌会议和开放论坛的形式关注亚洲文化的交流与合作、的欧洲经济安全与合作等问题，并进行企业间座谈等活动。

　　年会期间，博鳌亚洲论坛还将与中国改革开放论坛联合举办“中国的和平崛起与经济全球化”研讨会。

　　龙永图表示，博鳌亚洲论坛2004年年会将邀请约1000位代表到会，并将特邀亚洲和世界其他一些国家、地区的领导人出席并做主旨发言。作为亚洲政府、商业界和学术界交流的重要平台，年会也将针对各议题邀请为数众多的知名学者和企业界代表。目前邀请工作已全面启动，对参会感兴趣的企业可致电秘书处也可访问论坛网站。

　　龙永图透露，为加强年会期间代表之间、以及代表与媒体之间的交流，本次年会在设计方面适当调整了部分场次的活动，并创造了一些小范围交流的机会，保证年会组织的高效率和会议交流的高质量。

　　龙永图最后表示，博鳌亚洲论坛2004年年会将继续以“代表高层次、内容高水平、成果高质量”为目标，为参加会议的众多国家、地区和国际组织的领导人、企业界和学术界的代表搭建互动交流的平台，实现对各议题的深入探讨，推动共识，推进亚洲经济一体化的加速发展。

　　BOAO FORUM FOR ASIA PURSUES ITS WIN-WIN OBJECTIVE: ANNUAL CONFERENCE 2004 TO BE HELD IN APRIL

　　Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference (BFA AC2004) will be held at Boao, Hainan April 24-25, 2004 under the theme "Asia Searching for Win-win: An Asia Open to the Outside World".

　　The Conference will discuss topics including regional economic cooperation under globalization, Asia's approach in regional economic integration, sustainable development of Asia's economy and society. Besides the opening and closing ceremonies, the two-day conference will also hold four parallel sessions to stress on Post-Cancun Mutlilateral Trading System and Asian Economic Integration, Asian IT Industry and Standards, Corporate Brand, Supply Chain and Made in Asia, and Financial Cooperation. During the conference, round tables, breakfast and luncheon session will also be arranged to address issues concerning Asia's energy, exchange and cooperation in cultural industry, Energy as well as economic and security cooperation in Europe.

　　BFA will also co-host, with China Reform Forum a special seminar "China's Peaceful Rise and Economic Globalization" during the Annual Conference.

　　According to Mr. Long Yongtu, BFA Annual Conference 2004 will invite around 1000 delegates, the government and business leaders, among whom, from Asia and other parts of the world will address the plenary session. As a major platform for exchange among the government, business and academia, the annual conference will also invite renowned scholars and business elites to address each session. The registration for attending the conference has already commenced. 　　As disclosed by the Secretary General, Mr. Long, necessary adjustments have been made in the agenda thereby creating more opportunities for brainstorming, and for further promotion of exchange of views among the delegates as well as interaction between the delegates and media.

　　The upcoming Annual Conference, said Mr. Long, "will continue to strive the goal of high-level delegates, rich contents, and quality outcomes”. BFA will make its best endeavour to create interactive stage for exchange of views among leaders of countries, regions and international organizations as well as enterprises and academia, for supporting in-depth discussions under each topic and progress of Asia’s economic integration.
